Make a Christmas wreath with greenery and bows
Give the classic Christmas wreath a playful twist. Cover a straw wreath with fir and other greenery, and let the delicate bows create a decorative contrast. "I particularly love how the long ribbons drape beautifully from the wreath," Anna says with a smile.
Cut the fir or other greenery into pieces approximately 20-30 cm long. Place the first piece along the straw wreath and wrap metal wire around both the end of the greenery and the wreath to secure it firmly in place.
Continue adding greenery around the wreath, one piece at a time. Let each new piece overlap the previous one so that the wire remains hidden. Continue in the same way until the entire straw wreath is covered.
Now you can start tying the bows. Combine ribbons in different colours, widths and textures, and cut them into lengths of approximately 60-100 cm, depending on how long you would like the ribbon tails to be.
To tie the bows as the sisters have done, you can use two candles placed in candle holders approximately 10 cm apart as a guide. Wrap a length of ribbon around both candles to create a horizontal loop, with the right-hand end crossing in front of the left. Bring the right-hand end back around the centre of the loop so that it comes forward again beside the left-hand end. Then pass the right-hand end behind the left and through the small loop this creates. Gently tighten the bow and slide it off the candles.
Tie all the bows you would like to use on the wreath in the same way. Vary the ribbons and lengths to create different looks. "Try laying out the bows as you go to see how the colours and textures work together," Clara suggests.

Attach a wire hook to the centre at the back of each bow. Then push the hook down between the branches and into the straw wreath. Arrange the bows around the wreath until you are happy with the overall look. Your wreath is now ready to hang.
