Make a paper flower ranunculus

Ranunculus are some of Anna's favourite flowers. "What a wonderful care nature has shown in placing the many thin petals," she says. The paper version is almost as wondrous as the real thing, Anna believes.

1

Print and cut the template.

2

Glue a big paper ball to a stem wire. Cut a piece of green crepe paper and smooth it out a bit. Glue the green crepe paper to the round paper ball. Repeat with a smaller paper ball on a second stem wire.

3

Cut pieces of crepe paper in your desired flower colour in a height to fit the leaf template. Smooth out the paper pieces a bit and cut out the number of petals in each size as stated in the template. Repeat with the green leaves. It is up to you how many green leaves you would like to add to the stems.

4

Shape the petals in a round shape like real flower petals, and glue them to the stem with the big paper ball, start with the smallest ones. Glue three or four petals to the stem with the small ball too, but close this flower instead.

5

Glue the smallest green leaves to the stems by the flower.

6

Twist floral tape around the stem from the top at the open flower and down. Stop in the middle.

7

Twist floral tape around the stem with the closed flower too. Disperse the big green leaves in the stem. Approx. at the middle, attach the little stem to the big one with floral tape.

8

Shape the petals and stems to look like a real ranunculus flower.
