Make botanical artworks with cyanotype print
"It's like magic!" the nephew exclaims with wonder as he sees the results of the sisters' latest cyanotype print. With just a few materials, you can also make your own beautiful art with the help of the sun's light.
Turn the blue paper from the solar print kit with the darkest side facing up, as this is the one that can be activated by sunlight.
Arrange your dried and pressed flowers in a lovely pattern on the dark side of the paper.
Carefully place the transparent piece of paper on top of the floral arrangement, and place it in a spot with direct sunlight for at least 5-10 minutes. "You can easily leave your art for longer," Anna says.
Afterwards, dip or rinse your paper in water without the dried flowers. Let the paper dry completely.
Your artwork is now ready to be framed and to adorn your home. "Or perhaps gifted to a loved one," Clara suggests.
