Mend little holes in knitwear with embroidery
A little hole is not enough to dispose of a knitted jumper, if you ask the sisters. Anna and Clara believe there is great honour in mending clothes. The little mendings should even be highlighted, not hidden.

Here, Anna shows how to cover a mending with a little embroidered hot air balloon. Sew the hole with sewing thread. Needle some brown embroidery thread and add an embroidery hoop around the area where you will embroider.

Start embroidering from the back.

Make stitches in brown thread crosswise next to each other to form a little square.

Make a little handle in each side of the square with a few longer stitches.

Fix the brown thread.

Shift to green embroidery thread or the colour you want the hot air balloon to be.

Make green stripes with a little space between them to form a circle on top of the handles.

Then add white embroidery thread in the empty spaces of the circle, and fix the thread on the back.
