Real cat lovers deserve a cat party. Here, cats are added to everything from invitations to table-setting, and lamps. Even the guests are wearing cat ears and whiskers. "Wonderfully festive," Clara says.

A bunch of little cats. Add a touch of cat magic to all the elements of the tablesetting.

Cat plate. Cut little cat ears from cardboard and attach them under the plates.

You will need. Cardboard, glue stick, scissors, and double-sided adhesive tape for attaching the ears to the plate.

Festive detail. With little cat heads, the straws become perfect for the cat party.

You will need. Bamboo straws, cardboard, scissors, and glue stick. You will find the template for the cat heads further below.

Tails. Even the chairs have gotten a cat tail.

You will need. Cardboard, scissors, and ribbon. It is really that easy making festive cat tails for the chairs.

All animals can be used for the theme of a party.

CLARA

Some children love cats, others dogs, canary birds, or turtles. The only limit is your imagination.

ANNA

Cat lamps. Decorating rice paper lamps as cat heads is easy. They create a festive setting for the party.

You will need. Rice paper lamps of various sizes and colours, acrylic paint or acrylic marker, paintbrush, glue stick, scissors, and cardboard for the ears.

Party game. 'Put the nose on the cat' is a festive activity at the party. Blindfolded, the children must try to place the snout correctly.

You will need. Reused cardboard for the cat head, scissors, cardboard for whiskers and snouts, acrylic paint, and ribbon for hanging. The heart-shaped cat snouts are attached to the cat head with pins.

If the guests need to move a little, it is fun and fitting to play 'catch the tail'.

All participants stick a scarf down the hem of their trousers. One participant is the catcher. Now, the catcher must try to catch the other's tails.

Invitations. Let the cat theme set the mood from when the guests read the invitations.

How to. You will need cardboard of various colours, hole puncher for the eyes, scissors, and glue stick. Cut out all shapes and glue them to the invitation with glue stick. Mix the colours for a festive look.
