Atmospheric.Let yourself or your guests explore all the little, quirky details on the well-set table.
Small narratives.Create small, adorable narratives with embroidery. With attention to detail, steam from the teacup and a tea bag have been added.
Expressive embroidery thread.Create a varied expression with different types of embroidery thread. For the blueberry cake, both metallic and matt cotton threads have been used.
Chain stitch. You can get quite far with a simple chain stitch. You can create this type of stitch by fastening your nooses with every stitch.
Simple flower. With the versatile chain stitch, you can also easily create a petal by fastening the nooses in a circle with a short stitch.
Stem stitch. This type of stem stitch is quite similar to the chain stitch. You still poke back through the previous stitch but make sure to go through the middle of the embroidery thread.
Mix the stitches as you like. Here, different stitches are used. Chain stitch is used for the plate and cherry, while the metallic knife is made of stem stitch.
Basting stitch. With this method, you can easily get many different expressions. By holding the stitches close to each other, their expression becomes more clear and massive. If you spread your basting stitches from one point and out towards a circle, they will start to look like a flower or a star.
A bee in basting stitch.Follow Anna's lead and create a decorative honey bee in basting stitch.
Stitches in varying thicknesses.Embroidery threads consists of many small threads. You can choose to embroider in different thicknesses by pulling and separating the threads from each other. Most embroidery threads consist of six threads in total.
Embroidered bouquet. You can easily create a beautiful, lively bouquet which does not wither over time on your tablecloth. Print the template, cut out the flowers, and place them as you like. You can always add more flowers later on.
Free fantasy. You can use the template or draw your own personal motifs with a pencil or a marker. Cut it out and pin it onto the fabric before you start to embroider.
The little joys. With lovely, embroidered lids on the jam, lemon curd or honey jar you can bring joy to yourself or a lucky receiver.
Napkin ring. You can easily create a beautiful napkin ring by embroidering a piece of fabric with the same length and width as half a toilet roll.
Tip.When you have finished decorating your fabric with i.e. flowers and beads, you can just cut out the fabric with a wide seam allowance and sew it onto the napkin ring with basting stitch.
Embroidered joys.Let the finished napkin ring decorate on a lovely plate. Together with the embroidered tablecloth you can now invite your dear guests to a unique tea party.
