Name cake topper
While Clara has been in the kitchen preparing a wonderful cake, Anna has finished the decoration for the cake. “What can be more personal than the name of the guest of honour?” she says with a smile. The cake topper is great for both christening celebrations and birthdays.
Cut a long piece of metal wire and twist it to make it twice as thick.
Write the name for the cake topper on a piece of paper in cursive.
Shape the twisted metal wire in the shape of the name. In both ends of the name, let the metal wire continue down for a bit in a vertical line from beneath a letter.
Using a glue gun, glue a wide satin ribbon to one side of the metal wire name. Wrap each letter in the ribbon, so the entire name is covered in lovely, shiny ribbon.
Finish wrapping the name by gluing the ribbon on again and leave a little ribbon to hang off the cake topper in both sides.
Twist the two vertical metal wire lines beneath the name around wooden sticks. Place the two wooden sticks in the cake.
