Napkin rings with bunny ears

These sweet, macramé-inspired napkin rings with bunny ears delight both young and old at the sisters' beautifully set Easter table. Anna has to explain several times how she made them, and as she says, "It is not that difficult once you get the hang of it."

1

Secure the wooden ring to the table with a piece of decorative tape. "It is easier to work with when it does not slip away," Anna chuckles.

2

Cut two pieces of macramé yarn, each measuring 130 cm in length. First, take one piece of macramé yarn, fold it at 40 cm, and attach it to the wooden ring with a loop, as shown in the video. Ensure that the short end is on the right side.

3

Repeat step 2 with the second piece of yarn, but this time the short end should be on the left side. Both short ends should thus face each other in the middle.

4

Perform what is called a "square knot" 14 times. Watch the video to see how.

5

Then, bend the knotted yarn towards the ring, so it forms a bunny ear, and attach the ends to the wooden ring, as shown in the video.

6

Repeat step 2-5 to achieve two bunny ears.

7

Fasten the bunny ears at the back of the napkin ring by tying several knots. Follow the demonstration in the video, and trim the ends. "If you want to be absolutely certain that the knots do not come undone, you can add a dab of superglue," Clara notes thoughtfully.

8

Your napkin ring is now ready for use at spring festivities, to the delight of both young and old.
