Paint a landscape with watercolours
"Just a little further, Clara," Anna says, as the sisters make their way through the grass up the hill. Finally, they reach the top and Anna immediately gets out her painting kit to portray the outstanding view.
Bring your painting gear on a trip in nature and find a beautiful view. You can also take a picture of the view and paint the painting at home.
Sketch out the most important lines of the landscape with a soft pencil or a light paint.
Mix the colours you will need in a palette. Mix dark colours as they can easily be lightened with water when you want to use them.
Start painting the motif from the top and downwards. Start with the lightest colours and build the motif gradually with darker and darker colours. On big coloured areas you can use a water brush.
At the end, paint the darkest details of the motif. Wait to paint these until the previous layers of paint have dried so the colour does not run.
