Paint flowers with textured brushes
With a concentrated expression, Anna moves the brush across the paper. The finest anemones emerge in colours that will delight anyone. She places the finished result in a beautiful frame – a lasting bouquet to be enjoyed all year round.
Start by choosing a piece of paper in your preferred colour. In the video, Anna has used white paper.
Dip the large four-pronged brush into the red paint, and paint five petals for your French anemone. Add a small flower bud beside it.
When you have finished painting the red flowers, the brush should be cleaned in warm water and dried, so it is ready for a new colour later.
Now take the small brush with three tips and dip it in the green paint. Gently press one flat side of the brush down against the paper and gently lift again. As Anna enthusiastically says: "A beautiful leaf with a single brush stroke!" Continue adding leaves and stems as the red paint dries. See how in the video.
Now it is time to use the large four-progned brush again. Dip it into the pink paint, and gently stroke over the red petals to create a vibrant effect.
Wipe off excess pink paint and now dip the brush in dark blue paint. Gently drag the brush from the middle of the petal towards the centre to reveal the dark stamens on the anemone.
When your piece is dry, it is finished and ready to be displayed.
Feel free to continue exploring the special texture brushes by creating new works on different types of paper.
