Painting inspired by Marrakesh
Homemade elements in the interior decor adds personality, the sisters believe. Here, Anna has been inspired by the mystique of Marrakesh, as she believes that the warm colours and unique patterns add hygge to the home.
Start by covering the canvas with a base colour using a broad brush. Here Anna has used the paint 'Terracotta' from Color Stories. Let the paint dry.
Now sketch the desired patterns on the canvas with a pencil. "Only your imagination sets the limit," as Anna likes to say.
Mix different colours of acrylic paint with a painting knife to create a marbled effect.
Next, apply the acrylic paint with a painting knife. Dip the painting knife into the paint, and then dab the paint onto the canvas along your sketched lines, creating a nice pattern.
Once the paint is dry, the painting can be completed with yarn and a thick needle. Sew delicate patterns onto the painting, as shown in the video, or let your imagination run wild. Fasten on the back of the canvas.
