Paper flower wreath

Follow the sisters' guide to create a lovely wreath with paper flowers and ribbon. "Beauty that does not wither," Clara smiles, delighted at how the wreath can adorn the home throughout the spring.

1

Start by punching out lots of flowers using the paper punch in a colour of cardboard of your choice. For this project, approximately one sheet of cardboard has been used for the flowers.

2

Next, cut leaves out of green cardboard.

3

Use the end of a paintbrush to shape both leaves and flowers, making them look more lifelike, as shown in the video. Roll one end of the leaves around the brush, and gently press the brush into the centre of the flowers so the petals turn upwards.

4

Now prepare the metal ring by making small branches from steel wire, as shown in the video. Fold a piece of steel wire of approximately 1 m into three, and twist it around itself. Attach the wire to the metal ring and let small 'branches' stick out here and there, as shown in the video. You can always add more wire as you go if you would like more flowers on the metal ring.

5

Now glue the small flowers onto the steel wire one by one using a hot glue gun. Also glue on leaves wherever you would like them placed.

6

Finish by tying a pretty bow from ribbon and gluing it onto the top of the wreath as a decorative finishing touch. The wreath is now ready to adorn your home during the spring months. “You can also attach a hanging string behind the bow if you would like to hang up the wreath,” Clara notes.
