Paper poinsettia

Anna has found inspiration for this project from one of the best-known Christmas plants, the poinsettia. This poinsettia can be used year after year, which Clara thinks is very practical.

1

Cut the two shapes out of crepe paper. Cut three of each shape.

2

Paint veins in the leaves with red paint.

3

Cut long pointed leaves of crepe paper and twist them so that they form buds.

4

Bend a shorter piece of metal wire and glue on small flower pips.

5

Make a thin ribbon of crepe paper and smooth it out so that you can cover the end of the flower pips.

6

Glues the buds around the stem.

7

Now, glue on the small leaves.

8

Then, glue on the large leaves.

9

Finish with the long ribbon of crepe paper by gluing it to the end of the last leaves.

10

Sprinkle with gold powder.

11

You can now twist the stems around your Christmas tree.
