Paper strip snowflakes

"Sparkling snowflakes in the window create a truly magical atmosphere in the home and for passers-by on the frosty streets," Anna smiles. Fill the winter darkness with creative projects like these paper snowflakes, where both children and adults can take part.

1

First, take 3 paper strips, and cut them at the fold with scissors.

2

Now fold the resulting 6 strips in half, and cut again at the fold to achieve a total of 12 strips.

3

Fold the 12 strips in half with a gentle press.

4

Half of the strips should now be glued together at the ends with the glue gun so that they form a snowflake tip, as shown in the video.

5

Now, glue a new folded paper strip on the outside of each snowflake tip, so that the fold of the new strip covers the glued part of the snowflake tip, as shown in the video.

6

Now fold down the ends of the new strip to meet the remaining ends, and glue them in place. Each of the 6 snowflake points now has one small snowflake point on each side.

7

The 6 large snowflake points are now glued together at the curved sides and possibly in the centre, as shown in the video, so the paper strips form one large snowflake.

8

Attach a string or thin thread to one of the snowflake's tips, and your creation is ready to hang.

  • Paper strips for braided stars
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun and cartridges
  • String or thread for hanging
