Party hat with crepe paper candy
"A hat like this will make anyone in the mood for a party," Anna says as she glues the lovely candy decorations to the hat.
Cut a party hat from printed paper using the template or a pattern of your own design.
Put the hat together with double-sided adhesive tape.
Tie three slim ribbons together in one end and add the other three loose ends to a needle.
Drag the needle through the point of the hat so the knot keeps the ribbons in place inside the hat. Trim the lenghts of the ribbons if necessary.
Cut two long strips of crepe paper in different colours and twist them both to two long rolls. Then, twist them around each other. Shape the two-coloured roll into a round, flat lollipop which you glue togther with a glue gun as you go.
Cut a wooden stik of approx. 5 cm and glue it to the hat. Then, glue the top of the lollipop to the stick and hat.
Now make two little candies. A candy is made by glueing a paper ball to the middle of a square piece of crepe paper and twisting the paper in both ends. Glue the two candies to the party hat.
Add an elastic thread to the party hat.
