Patchwork Christmas bauble

Select patchwork fabric in three different colours and cut eight squares of approx. 8 x 4 cm. In the video, Anna uses white and light green patchwork fabric, as well as green velvet ribbon. It is optional whether you wish to replace one piece of patchwork fabric with velvet ribbon or another wide ribbon.

Pierce a short pin through the middle of the long side of one of the white patchwork pieces, approx. 0.5 cm from the edge.

Position the pin with the fabric on top of the centre of a large polystyrene ball. Fold the sides of the fabric towards the centre so that the piece of fabric forms a triangular shape and use pins to secure the shape to the ball. Continue the same process with three other pieces of patchwork fabric, also starting from the top, as shown in the video.

Now attach white patchwork fabric to the bottom of the ball in the same way as in step 3.

Proceed with using another colour of patchwork fabric or velvet ribbon, and secure these in the same manner as the white patchwork fabric, but position them further down the folds of the white patchwork fabric. Distribute the fabric or velvet ribbon evenly around the ball at four different points.

Continue the same process as in step 5 with the light green patchwork fabric until the ball is completely covered on the top half, and a lovely star appears at the top. Then finish the bottom half in the same manner.

Trim any additional fabric, and tie a wide ribbon around the ball. Optionally, you can fasten the ribbon with pins.

Finally, tie a noose for hanging, and cut the ends at an angle as shown in the video. Your Christmas bauble is now ready to adorn this year's Christmas tree.
