Patchwork Christmas tree

With shiny jingle bells and a lovely bow, the little patchwork Christmas tree is almost as impressive as the real tree. "You can never decorate with too many Christmas trees," Anna thinks.

1

Download and print the template and cut it out.

2

Choose patchwork fabrics of two different prints. Cut out the template three times in each print while the fabric is folded so you have a total of six Christmas trees. "You can choose to only cut out the template four times to achieve a smaller Christmas tree," Anna says.

3

Put the sets together plain to plain, so you have three Christmas trees with two different prints of fabric each.

4

Sew from the bottom notch with 1 cm seam allowance and reach 0.5 cm seam allowance before you reach the first tip of the Christmas tree. Sew again the opposite way with 0.5 cm seam allowance all the way around the tree, and finish with 1 cm seam allowance at the last notch. Repeat on all three sets.

5

Turn all three sets with the right side out and make sure to turn the tips/edges and seam allowances thoroughly with scissors or a similar pointed item. Finish by ironing the sets.

6

Place alle the sets on top of each other. Make sure to match the prints when placing them and sew through all six layers of fabric.

7

It is now time to fill the Christmas tree with the polyester padding. Make sure to fill all the tips by using scissors, a thick knitting needle, or a similar item.

8

When all six "rooms" are filled with polyester padding, you can sew the rooms together at the bottom by hand.

9

Attach small jingle bells and bows to the tree if you like, and let the Christmas tree decorate your home.
