Patchwork gift box with a double bow
Anna has become very fond of the patchwork fabric covered boxes, both as part of the sisters’ home décor but also a nostalgic gift box for when she wants to surprise a dear friend. “A simple, yet beautiful double bow adds a little extra to the gift,” Anna smiles.
Fold the wide satin ribbon around the gift as usual.
Tie a knot in the middle, so you can manage all sides of the ribbon around the gift.
Fold two nooses around your four fingers on one hand with the short end of the ribbon. Bring this through the space between your index and ring finger.
Finally, bring the short end around the middle of the bow and tie a knot so the bow is secured. Adjust your double bow and cut the ends nicely. “You can make a lovely split end of the ribbon by folding both ends of your ribbon and cutting a notch in the middle,” Anna suggests, and she kindly notes that the double bow will look the best if you use thinner, wide ribbon like shown in the video.
