Plant support made of air-dry clay

Expand your planting equipment with a homemade plant support made of air-dry clay, which, besides supporting your plants, can serve as a decorative element among the greenery. "A home and a garden in full bloom," Anna says with a dreamy smile.

1

Begin by kneading the clay until it becomes pliable.

2

Roll the clay into a long shape to a thickness of about 1-1.5 cm.

3

Mould the clay into the desired shape, and gently dab it with a bit of water to achieve a smooth and even surface.

4

Let the clay dry for about two days until completely dry. "The clay should be covered with a plastic bag for the first 24 hours," Clara kindly advises.

5

When the clay is completely dry, you can paint it with acrylic paint in your favourite colour. It is best to paint in several layers to seal the clay. This prevents moisture from the soil from penetrating the clay.

6

Optionally, finish by decorating the plant support. Anna has used spray acrylic paint, as shown in the video, to create a lovely splash effect.

  • Air-dry clay
  • Acrylic paint
  • Acrylic spray paint - optional
