Pretty rosettes of crepe paper
These lovely rosettes are a simple beginner's project for those who would like to try their hand at the creative crepe paper. "They look decorative attached to any gift," Clara thinks. "They also add a beautifully decorative touch hanging on the branches," Anna says.
Download and print the template. Decide if you would like to make a small or large rosette.
Cut out rectangle pieces of the crepe paper using the templates. Make sure that the lines of the crepe paper align with the arrow on the template.
Gather your rectangle in the middle.
Tie a piece of ribbon around the middle of the gathering.
Pull the corners of each side of your gathered rectangle and glue the long sides together so you now have a rosette shape. You can also use a stapler for this purpose.
Carefully pull at the edges of the rosette. By doing this you will smooth out some of the crepe paper and achieve a ruffle-like edge. Finish off the rosette with a bow made of the same ribbon which is tied to the middle. You can also decorate with gemstones, beads, or stickers, or you can make a smaller rosette which you can attach onto the big one and finish with a bow.
You can opt to glue a small handle to the top of the rosette and let it be a decorative element in the home or use it to add something extra to your gift-wrapping.
