Scrubbing glove for vegetables

Crochet your own scrubbing glove to prepare the garden's vegetables for your cooking. The sisters kindly note that after using the scrubbing glove, you should wash your vegetables before consuming or cooking them.

1

First, make two chain stitches.

2

Make a double crochet back through one chain stitch and another double crochet through the upper edge loop, followed by a chain stitch. Now there should be two double crochets and one chain stitch.

3

Make double crochets back through the two double crochets and another double crochet through the upper edge loop, followed by a chain stitch. Now you should have a little triangle. That's the start.

4

Continue the small triangle with ten rows of double crochets, where each row ends with one double crochet in the upper edge loop, followed by one chain stitch. Leave the end (chain stitches) loose, as the jute yarn is very tight, which makes the work easier.

5

The last of the ten rows do not end with a chain stitch. The double crochet in the upper edge loop is the last stitch in the row.

6

The middle of the fish is five "ordinary" rows. Finish each row with one double crochet in the upper edge loop.

7

The last of the five rows is finished with one double crochet in the last double crochet. Not in the top edge loop.

8

Now it is taken into five rows. That is, each row ends with one double crochet in the last double crochet of the row.

9

The last of the five rows is finished with one double crochet in the upper edge loop. One row is created where you go neither in nor out. The row ends with one double crochet in the upper edge loop.

10

11

The two fish are crocheted together. Place the two identical fish on top of each other. Start at the corner between the tail and the body. Crochet the two parts together with double crochets pulled through the edges of both fish until you have four rows down the body of the fish.

12

The fish's edge fins: On the fourth round/row from the fish's tail, crochet one chain stitch after the double crochet that brings the two fish together. Pull a new stitch through the double crochet so that you have two stitches on the needle. Make one double crochet through the edge of the fish and then one chain stitch. Now you have three loops on the needle, and then pull a new stitch through all three, so the three stitches are together.

13

Then make two chain stitches. Pull a new stitch, through one chain stitch, so that you have two loops on the needle. Pull a new stitch through the double crochet so that you have three stitches on the needle. Make one double crochet through the edge of the fish and then one chain stitch. Now you have four stitches on the needle, and then pull one new stitch through all four stitches.

14

Now make three chain stitches, and continue in the same way as the previous steps by continuously increasing the number of stitches until you have four chain stitches, and then continue with four chain stitches of three rounds. After that, mirror the exercise and reduce instead.

15

Continue to gather the two half fish with double crochets until you reach the fish's "nose". Cut off the yarne with approx. 20 cm left and pull through the last stitch.

16

"Turn the work over and repeat, but only on one half (leave a good long "end" of the yarn here. It should be used for the tail/handle). So the two parts do not need to be crocheted together now. Only when you have finished making the fish's edge fins do you crochet the two halves together and finish them in the same manner as the opposite side."

17

With the long end left over from the start, 12 chain stitches are now made. Pull one stitch through the opposite corner of the tail and finish. All other ends are tucked into the work with a darning hook or crochet hook and hidden.
