Sculptural candleholder made of second-hand items
Anna finds immense joy in renewing old finds by assembling them into new decorative creations. "Create a unique candleholder by use of second-hand items, or whichever old treasures you may have hidden in the cabinet," she recommends.
Find a collection of small to medium-sized second-hand items, e.g. small glasses, vases and older candleholders in approximately matching sizes, so it will be possible to balance them on top of each other.
You can choose to split the second-hand items into smaller pieces by use of a cutting board, a hammer and a totebag. Place the items in the totebag on top of the cutting board, and then hammer on top of the bag.
Try out different expressions by trying out different placements of the the second-hand finds on top of each other. Make sure the stack is stabile and cannot fall over or fall apart when it is finished and the candle in it is lit.
When you have found the composition that you like, you can start assembling the different pieces using a glue gun. If the surfaces are very smooth, you will need to use an extra strong glue.
To nicely finish up the piece, you can place a Søstrene Grene candleholder on top. Always keep an eye on the lit candle.
