Sparkling Christmas star of toilet roll

Start by sketching a band approximately 1 cm wide all the way around the middle of a toilet roll with a pencil.

Then sketch the number of points you want your star to have from the band in the middle and out, as demonstrated in the video.

Now cut out the points without cutting into the central 'band'. This band is essential for holding the star together.

Then, paint the exterior, point by point, with waterproof clear varnish, and place the golden foil flakes onto it so that it adheres firmly. Also, bend the points outwards to form a star, and brush the inside of the points so that the entire star is covered with golden flakes.

Attach a string to the star, and hang it in a cosy corner, in the window, or on a hook. "Let it be Christmas," Anna smiles.
