Star tree topper in crepe paper
Give this year's Christmas tree a personal touch with a homemade crepe paper star tree topper. "This unique tree topper will shine as brightly as the stars outside," Anna smiles.
Cut a 30 cm piece of silver-coloured crepe paper, fold it together like a pleated fan and secure it by tying jute twine around the middle of the bunch.
Unfold the fan and glue the gatherings together so the paper takes the shape of a rosette. Cut points evenly around the edge of the rosette.
Cut a 30 cm piece of white crepe paper and shorten it with 20 cm from the direction of the paper that is not stretchable. Repeat step 1 and 2 with the white crepe paper and glue the white rosette to the centre of the silver-coloured one.
Cut a smaller piece of gold-coloured crepe paper, stretch it out, and use a round object with a diameter of approx. 5 cm to mark a circle. In the video, Anna has used a tape roll as template.
Cut out the circle, fold it on the middle a few times, and cut small points. Unfold the circle, and glue it to the centre of the white rosette.
Glue a few silver-coloured beads randomly onto the centre of the rosette, stacking them together in a small cluster.
Repeat step 1-6, so you end up having made both sides of the star tree topper.
Glue together both sides of the star by applying glue to one backside, positioning the holder, and attaching the other side. You have now created your own beautiful star tree topper in crepe paper.
