Template for graphic paper cutting design
"Making art does not have to be difficult," Anna says. With the sisters' template, you can easily make a pretty, graphic paper cutting design for the wall. Personalise the piece by choosing your favourite colour for the background.
Mark 2.7 cm from the edge at the short side of the piece of cardboard with a pencil and ruler and likewise 2 cm from the edge at the long side.
Fold the cardboard at the marked lines. Use a bone folder to sharpen the edge. Now, tear the cardboard piece at the folds to make a frayed edge.
Place the template in the middle of the cardboard piece. Add a small piece of tape in each corner so the template cannot move.
Cut through both template and cardboard with a precision knife on top of the lines on the template.
Remove the template, and fold the cut-out lines as shown in the video.
Mix acrylic paint with baking soda until you get the desired texture. Paint a whole sheet of cardboard with the paint/baking soda mix. This is the background for the paper cutting.
When the paint is dry, glue the paper cutting to the painted background.
Frame the paper cutting without using the glass front of the frame.
