The nature detective's suitcase

Add dried flowers to the suitcase with decoupage glue, and let it dry.

Make a pair of binoculars from two toilet rolls. Add decorative tape to the edges of the two rolls. Place 6 cm of decorative tape on a piece of recycled cardboard, and cut out the piece. Glue the piece of cardboard to the middle of the toilet rolls so they are now stuck together. Make little holes in the outsides approx. 0.5 cm from the edge on both toilet rolls, and tie a piece of jute twine to both ends. The piece of twine should be long enough to go over the head.

Cut a piece of elastic cord of approx. 25 cm, and add a needle to one end.

Open the suitcase and count 7 sewing-holes up from the bottom of the lid. Stick the needle with the elastic cord through the hole and back through the sixth hole from the outside to the inside. Tie a tight knot. Repeat in the other side of the suitcase's lid, and make sure to stretch the elastic cord as tightly as possible.

Place little coloured pencils farthest left behind the elastic cord. Next to these, on top of the elastic, place a little notebook. Mark where the notebook will go with a pencil by drawing around it. Also mark where the magnifying glass will go on the inside of the lid on top of the elastic cord.

Cut pieces of hook and loop fastener to fit notebook and magnifying glass.

Glue the pieces of hook and loop fastener to notebook, magnifying glass and suitcase so the two tools can easily be attached and taken out of the suitcase.
