Tissue paper stars
"The homemade ones sparkle almost as brightly as the stars on a frosty night," Clara smiles as she watches how Anna has decorated the Christmas table with tissue paper stars and other personal ornaments. Follow the sisters' example, and use the stars as place cards or hang them in the window.
First, cut out the tissue paper into 8 squares, each measuring approximately 4 x 4 cm.
Now fold one square diagonally twice, forming an intersection in the paper. If necessary, trim the tissue paper on the sides to ensure a uniform and straight square. Repeat with all 8 squares.
Now fold the two corners on opposite sides of the square towards each other so that they meet in the middle.
Next, fold the sides of one of the remaining corners towards the centre so that the two sides meet and form a point. "Watch how in the video," Anna recommends.
Repeat steps 3-4 on all 8 squares.
Now use double-sided tape to attach the 8 star points together, as shown in the video.
If you wish to use your stars as window decorations, you can stop here and attach the star to the window with double-sided tape. You can also choose to embellish the star further by applying a generous amount of glue from the glue gun to the centre of the star and dipping it in beads.
You can use your stars as place cards by writing a name on one of the star's points before placing them on a plate.
