Upcycle clothes with bows
"Do not let a stain or a worn trouser hem shorten the lifespan of your clothing," Clara suggests. With this guide, you can easily upcycle your trousers or any other piece of clothing with bows if they need an update.
Start by making a bow of ribbon in your hand, as shown in the video.
Then attach the bow with pins to the side of the trouser leg opening, ensuring that the bow's ends and loops are evenly distributed on each side of the side seam of the trouser leg.
Cut slightly along the side seam, so the trouser leg opens up.
Now, sew the bow on using a sewing machine or by hand.
When the bow is secured, trim the excess fabric between the bow's ends off the trouser leg, and fold the remaining ends to the back of the trouser leg. Now hand-sew the ends in place on the back.
Repeat the process on the other trouser leg, "... so that one leg does not feel left out," Anna chuckles.
If you also want to spice up your knitted jumper, you can tie bows of the same ribbon to the stitches of the jumper, as shown in the video. If necessary, sew a few stitches to secure them further.
