Wall art from cloth and canvas
Anna has recently visited an art museum and since then been inspired to play with shapes and dimensions. "And it is especially lovely to bring new life to old items," she smiles while she finds the old sheet.
Tear or cut a piece of fabric from an old sheet or find a piece of uni-coloured cloth. Here, a piece of a white sheet is used. All kinds of fabric can be used as long as it is not see-through. Make sure that the piece of fabric is approximately twice the size of the canvas.
Warm up your glue gun and use it to attach one corner of the fabric to the frame of the canvas.
Use your hands to twist and drape the fabric into the desired folds while you glue the fabric to the frame of the canvas. Here, you can be especially careful to fold corners and edges beautifully and neatly. In this way, the canvas cannot be seen when the artwork is mounted on the wall.
Finish the draping in a corner and cut off the excess fabric to ensure an elegant expression.
Your artwork is now ready to be displayed on the wall.
