Woven bead bracelet with strawberry pattern

With a wealth of beads, Anna and Clara produce lovely jewellery for their collections. "A piece of jewellery can tie an entire outfit together," as Anna likes to say. Create your own summery bead bracelet by using the sisters' template and simple guide.

1

Download and print the sisters' template with the strawberry motifs.

2

Prepare your loom by threading it with seven threads as shown in the video. The bracelet here is 18 cm in total, including the locking mechanism, and approximately 3 m thread is used. "Remember to secure the threads tightly," Anna says.

3

Tie a threaded needle to the outermost thread on the left side of the loom and add beads to the needle. For this bead bracelet, six beads are added at a time, and they lay between seven threads on the loom.

4

Place the needle with the six beads under the threads on the loom and ensure that a bead is placed between each thread. You can hold the beads in place by placing a finger beneath them.

5

Bring the needle through the beads from the opposite side, and this time, go through the beads on top of the threads on the loom.

6

Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the length of the bracelet fits your wrist. Use the template to find the right placement of the beads to create the strawberry pattern.

7

When you have achieved the desired length, secure the bracelet by pulling the needle and thread through the second and third to last rows of beads again. At the fourth to last row, pull the needle and thread through just some of the beads and cut off the remaining thread.

8

Free the bracelet by cutting it off the loom. Keep as much thread as possible to ease the process of adding a lock.

9

Pull a crimp bead onto all seven threads in each end of the bracelet and squeeze them with a pair of long-nose pliers. Cut off the remaining thread. "If you wish to have an especially secure closure, you can add a small dollop of super glue," Clara suggests.

10

Add a clamp end around the two ends of the bracelet with a pair of long-nose pliers.

11

Finish the bracelet by adding one or more o-rings to the clamp ends and add a lobster lock to one of the o-rings to close the bracelet. If you need the bracelet to be longer, you can add length with more o-rings or a lovely piece of chain. Your woven bead bracelet is now ready to wear.
