Wreath of patchwork fabric

With a deft hand, Anna is sewing fabric scraps onto a foam ring, and a beautiful fabric wreath appears, brimming with Christmas and care.

1

Begin by cutting approximately 32 fabric strips measuring 7 x 20 cm from patchwork fabric. If you have any fabric scraps lying around, you can use these. Here, five different patterns of the sisters' patchwork fabric were used, but four would also have been sufficient to cover a wreath with an outer diameter of approximately 25 cm.

2

Iron each fabric shred so the long sides of the fabric meet and the right side of the fabric is facing outwards.

3

Place the fabric shreds tightly around the foam ring one at a time and secure it by stitching it with emboidery thread.

4

Continue this way all the way around until the wreath is covered by fabric. Make sure that the shreds are overlapping to cover the foam ring completely. Stitch the thread.

5

Attach a lovely ribbon bow to the wreath for a finishing touch.

6

Add a cord for hanging and let the wreath adorn your home.
