Easy art. Tie lengths of yarn all the way around a metal ring and you can easily create a fluffy and personal work of art for the wall.

How to. Tie the yarn to the metal ring with simple knots as shown above.

Maximise. Using the same technique, you can create a bigger piece. Here, you can use an old broomstick or a pretty debarked branch.

Contrast colours. With contrast colours, the piece becomes more lively and noticeable.

Harmony. Four colours that complement each other well.

Voluminous. A dynamic look is created when you mix different materials in your wall décor. In this piece, the knot technique has once again been used on a metal ring, but here the ring is only partly covered.

Variety. If you keep the work of art in the same colour scale, you can bring life and variety to the piece by using several different kinds of yarn.

You can easily use your yarn scraps from other knitting projects for a work of art for the wall.

Knitted art. Create noticeable pieces with knitwork and paint. You can make them in all sizes. The big pieces are made on chipboards and the small piece is made on a canvas.

How to. For this project, you will need the following: Canvas in your desired size, thick yarn (preferably cotton), knitting needles, paint, staple gun, and glue gun. First, knit a straight length in the desired shape. Then, paint the entire canvas in the desired colour.

Mounting. Attach the knitted piece to the edge of the canvas with the staple gun. Glue on the rest with the glue gun.

Paint. Now, paint on top of both the knitted piece and the canvas with the same paint as before. Paint the work several times to cover the knitted piece completely and make it blend in with the canvas. When the paint dries, the knitted pieces becomes completely stiff and almost resembles ceramic.
