A bench with space for storage underneath is an obvious choice for the entrance hall.

Weaved baskets bring warmth and naturalness to the home. Create order in the entrance hall by having one basket for bags, one for hats and gloves, one for warm sweaters etc.

Coat hooks are a neccessity in the entrance hall. Make sure to hang hooks in all heights so everyone in the family can reach.

Often, a customised solution is best when trying to use the space fully. For instance, you can build a bookcase from wall to wall and floor to ceiling. This one is made of MDF boards cut in fitting measurements and painted.

In the bookcase, boxes, baskets and folders keep track of all the items. In an open bookcase with no doors is is especially important to choose aesthetically pleasing storage.

Vary the contents of your bookcase, so there are not boxes and books in all rooms. A table lamp in the bookcase sets a mood of 'hygge'.

If there is a slanted wall in the room, you can make use of the space by building a closet under it. You could cover the closet with a curtain.

"Getting dressed is a daily pleasure when the wardrobe is organised," Clara says.

Use the space under a slanted wall with an easy DIY hanger rail.

For making the hanger rail, you simple hang a wooden pole with macramé yarn and wooden beads.
