Are you looking for a wall painting technique that can renew any room? Be inspired by Anna's ideas to add colour to the walls of your home with larger wall decorations as well as smaller embellishments.

Let the wall bloom with life with this almost wallpaper-like expression. The plant can grow on the entire wall, and over time it can blossom and gain more leaves, if you wish. This way, the wall can be in constant development, just like nature itself.

Brushstrokes. Allow the brushstrokes to be loose and not completely covering to create more life and a 3D-like effect.

Sketch. Start by sketching the project before you begin to paint. This way, you can more easily visualise and plan the size and expression.

Draw and paint. First, sketch the plant on the wall with a pencil, and then paint with a suitably sized brush.

Paint a frame around the frame. This way, you can extend your artworks on the wall and give them a lovely, unique expression. Choose a colour that matches the artwork, so the colours are enhanced and elegantly frame the image.

How to. Start by sketching the size of the picture frame on the wall and then paint a decorative frame. If you like, you can paint freehand to create a vivid and organic expression. Make sure to also paint slightly within the marking of the frame to avoid a gap.

There are many ways in which you can use paint to give your home a new expression. Do not necessarily paint the entire wall but paint smaller areas in different shapes to divide the home into zones. For example, a circular motif can create lots of life in the room.

Tone on tone. A harmonious colour choice creates calm. Here, a warm sand colour has been used for the wall and a light, sunny yellow for the shelf and circle.

Harmonious. Paint the shelf and circle on the wall in the same colour to create calm in the decor.

How to. Before you paint, start by sketching the circle using a pencil and string. You can also choose to draw the circle freehand and let it wave a bit for a more vivid and organic expression.

Zoned. By painting a stylish arch on the wall, you can define the area around a plant stand, as here, or e.g. a desk, a side table, or any other piece of furniture.

Play of colours. Play with the colours by painting floor panels and furniture in a strong colour. First, the arch is sketched by making a semicircle at the top, and then the arch is completed by placing masking tape in straight lines from the semicircle down to the floor.

Colours and stripes. Paint a striped wall, e.g. in the children’s room, and create a vivid expression. The stripes make the room appear taller, and here the colours are kept in warm, soft shades. For a more festive expression, choose stronger colours, and perhaps even several different ones.

How to. Start by painting the entire wall in the base colour and let the paint dry. Then carefully place masking tape in straight, vertical lines, and mark the desired width using a pencil and ruler. Seal the masking tape by painting with the base colour along it before painting the stripes in your desired colour. Let the wall dry before you remove the masking tape.
