It is not difficult to give old white sheets a personal touch. Many of nature's plants and fruits can be used to dye textiles. You can use anything from onion or avocado peels, to turmeric and blueberries.
It is easiest to dye natural textiles such a wool, cotton, and silk.
Put the dye element in water and bring it to boil. Then let your textile infuse in the water along with a form of binding agent such as salt, vinegar, or alum. The longer it gets to infuse, the more intense the colour will be. "Be surprised and delighted as the fabric dries and the result appears," Anna says.
