From table to playhouse

Let the children begin their culinary explorations in a play kitchen, which they can help to create themselves. In this way, both creativity and learning are paramount.

Play kitchen. Use a tablecloth, a sheet, or a curtain to transform a chair into the loveliest play kitchen for the children.

Decoration. When it comes to the appearance of the kitchen, the only limit is your imagination. Choose to decorate with floral curtains or a cardboard water tap.

Fridge. Turn the back of a chair into a fridge. Use cardboard and acrylic paint to create a door and play food.

Creativity. Attach a self-adhesive closure to the play food, so it can be moved around in the play kitchen and be part of the playing.

A good start. Start by sketching the project in order to adapt the tablecloth and decorations to the chosen chair.

Materials. For the chair cover, silk ribbons have been used to tie the tablecloth together in the corners, acrylic paint has been used to paint various details, fabric scraps for the little curtain, and recycled cardboard for the fridge door, tap, and play food.

Children’s imagination and ability to invent games are unique.

Play stove. Recycle your used cardboard boxes and transform them into a play stove. Many hours of fun can be found in both the creative process and the following play.

Materials. All you need is recycled cardboard, scissors, glue, and acrylic paint.

“Once upon a time…” Clara begins and lets the little ones continue. For there is nothing that can surpass children’s imagination. Both princes, princesses, and all sorts of other characters are welcome at the magical castle.

Knight’s castle. The cardboard box can also be transformed into a knight’s castle for little princes and princesses. Here, you see a beautiful knight princess guarding her castle.

Let creativity unfold throughout the home - literally. With very few means, you can create a car track, so the children can imagine driving to adventurous places.

Car track. Make a cool car track with painter’s tape. Let the road wind its way through the house, over and under furniture.

Explore. Expand the game by making a loop out of cardboard. Here, the loop leads the cars over a small lake with fish. With self-hardening clay, wooden sticks, and cardboard, you can also make a finish line, so the little ones can arrange a race.

Simple. With very few items, you can set the stage for many fun moments. Use toilet rolls as the cars’ garage and let the children draw road stripes on the painter’s tape. The tape is easy to remove from the floor again when the game reaches its end.
