Natural flavours. "It is as if food tastes better with herbs from your own garden," Clara says.

Fresh herbs are an essential part of summertime garden pleasures, if you ask the sisters. You can plant herbs in the kitchen garden or in flower pots on the terrace or balcony. Herbs are decorative and aromatic and it is an exquisite pleasure being able to pick a few stems of thyme or basil leaves in your own garden for cooking.

Fresh rosemary and parsley from the garden, a bit of garlic, pepper, and some butter.

That is all you need for a wonderful herb butter for summer barbecues.

ANNA

An invitation for flying insects. It is not just the sisters who are fond of the wonderful lavender. The flower smells great and with its generous contents of pollen and nectar it attracts butterflies, bees, and bumblebees.

Surround yourself with your favourite flowers in the garden. There is nothing wrong with planting the same kind of flowers many places, the sisters state. You can choose to vary the impression by planting the flowers in varying pots - both in terms of size and texture.

Order. Clara enjoys having a place for everything. That applies to the garden as well.

Consider how you can include the heights of your outdoor spaces and use all surfaces. You can hang a wooden pole and hang hanging pots and tools from it. This way, you can even beautify a dull wall or fence.

Add height to the greenery. Pruned plants and other high plants add some dynamics to the outdoor spaces.

Glowing garden memories. The sisters suggest placing lanterns both on the ground and at the heights.

With lanterns you can easily prolong the warm nights in your outdoor spaces. The soft glow of the lanterns bring 'hygge' and set the perfect scene for joyful moments in the garden or greenhouse. Supplement the lanterns with other light sources such as string lights and candlelights.
