How has your art evolved?
Previously, I painted a lot based on a feeling of pain. I was searching for something. My art was characterised by dark brownish colours and structures, and I was heavily inspired by the sound universes of Mew, Kashmir and Kent. "Sad rock," you might call it.
Today, I paint in light colours and strokes. I paint what makes me happy. Now, people are almost always present in my paintings. I have not been able to work for 10 years because of repercussions of a stroke. I very much wish I could work and be surrounded by colleagues every day. But when I paint people, it kind of feels like having a friend in the room with me.
