Mud kitchen in the open air

Build a mud kitchen from reused building materials and let the children unleash their cooking imagination under open skies. Make play food from stones and cardboard, and wait for an invitation for mud cake and air tea from the dear little ones.

Menu of the day. Be creative and see the possibilities of old materials that are hiding in your garage or attic or those of neighbours and friends. You can make a menu board from an old cupboard door and paint it with blackboard paint.

New life to old things. Aesthetic decay is welcome in the children's mud kitchen. Empty olive cans with herbs and rusty kitchen tools set a lovely mood.

Pizza party. Making your own pizza with crust and toppings from old cardboard boxes is fun. "All children's favourite meal," Anna smiles.

The final touch. The pizza is finished off with fresh herbs from the mud kitchen as well as a sprinkle of salt in the form of fine sand.

Let the children take part in decorating the mud kitchen.

It is a fun joint project and cause of great pride for the little ones.

Set the mood. Decorate the kitchen with a rustic garland and string lights and create a cosy atmosphere to play in.

Dining area. The food is served at a little table made from old apple crates. With a little table cloth and a wildflower in a vase the mood is almost like at a real Italian restaurant.
