Sprout joy and garden delight
For Theresa, the joy of anticipation and the happiness of watching seeds sprout and grow into large and magnificent flowers are some of the best feelings. "It's amazing to experience, when something I have sown comes to life – to plant a seed that later becomes a small plant, which I then put in the garden, care for, and water, and suddenly it bursts into bloom and flourishes. Sometimes it even surprises me how quickly a tiny seed can develop," Theresa shares. "At the same time, it's inherent that the flowers are constantly developing, and I usually say that each new year becomes the best year – because it does," Theresa says with a twinkle in her eye, her statement also reflecting the journey and development that has taken place in the garden year after year.
In addition to the feeling of happiness Theresa gets from leaving her mark, as she does by creating beautiful flowers and bouquets, the garden is also a special sanctuary where she can find peace and be present in the moment. "The soil forms happiness, and with hands in the soil, all kinds of mental clutter and busyness disappear," Theresa explains while she looks out over the blooming perennial beds.
