When the sisters' home is quiet, they like to sit in the soft chairs and think back on festive and cosy moments. They are especially fond of pulling out their many photo albums and reminiscing about wonderful times with their loved ones. Anna and Clara especially remember the many wonderful confirmations they have been invited to. "A joyful celebration," Clara says with a smile.
The sisters find it a particularly wonderful tradition to mark the transition from child to adult and have often attended confirmation and nonfirmation (also known as non-confirmation) parties at their loved ones' homes. "It is a happy day filled with happiness and memorable moments," Anna says.
Are you or a loved one about to be confirmed? Or are you in the process of organising a party? Anna and Clara have gathered a wealth of inspiration for table settings, invitations, decorations, gift ideas, and much more to make your confirmation or nonfirmation party extra special.
When Anna and Clara help their loved ones with party preparations, they prefer to start with the confirmation or nonfirmation invitations. "No party without guests," Clara has a habit of saying. "Make sure you invite your guests well in advance," Anna adds. The earlier you send out the invitations, the more likely it is that your guests will be able to join in the festivities.
Before you start making your confirmation invitations, it is a good idea to have the date, venue, and time of the event in mind. "You can also choose to include other information in the invitation, but these are the most important," Clara says. There is a wealth of options when it comes to confirmation or nonfirmation invitations. You can choose whether you prefer to buy ready-made invitations or unleash your creativity with homemade invitations.
Anna likes to create homemade invitations when she is helping her loved ones with party preparations. She has created everything from pretty invitations with leaf metal, fun invitations with a different shape, to invitations with beautiful bouquets of flowers. "Take the plunge into creating homemade invitations," Anna advises. "Creativity knows no rules."
The sisters recommend that you consider the look of the party. Is there a particular colour you want to incorporate, or do you have a particular theme you want to express?
"With homemade party decorations, you can easily create a very special atmosphere," Anna smiles. The sisters love to let their creativity flow and create beautiful decorations that can adorn both tables and walls. For their loved one’s big day, they created wonderful floral decorations, garlands with fabric pennants, and colourful rice paper lamps. To top it all off, Anna and Clara incorporated memorable photos of the confirmand into the decorations. "It gives the party such a personal touch," Clara says with a twinkle in her eye.
The table setting is an important element that you should include in the preparations for the confirmation or nonfirmation. A beautifully set table welcomes guests to the big party.
When setting a table, Anna suggests starting with the tablecloth and napkins. If you choose a plain or patterned tablecloth, it is a good idea to choose napkins in the same colour or pattern to create a harmonious look.
Anna and Clara love a well-set table with lovely table decorations. The sisters recommend decorating the table with candles and flowers in pretty vases. "A festive occasion deserves a festive table," Anna says with a smile. If you have the time and energy, you can complement the decorations with lovely, homemade napkin rings that match the theme of the confirmation or nonfirmation. You can also place the menu on the table, so guests know what to look forward to.
It is also a good idea to assign each of your guests a seat and mark this with a beautiful place card. "Place cards are both practical and decorative," Clara says. "And a wonderful opportunity to get creative," Anna chuckles. With a few simple tools, you can easily create festive and stylish place cards. For example, you can use a variety of materials such as paper, cork, leaves, flowers, candy, and many more.
Anna and Clara have previously made beautiful place cards with flowers in self-hardening clay. "Place cards can also serve as small gifts that guests can take home," Clara explains. "A keepsake of an amazing party."

"Every party needs cake," Anna says with a smile. The sisters always have a delicious recipe at hand when they help with the party preparations. Do you want a festive layer cake with berry whipped cream or a delicious tart with vanilla and raspberry mousse? You can find recipes for everything from cookies to large cakes in the sisters' inspirational universe. "Cakes for any party," Clara smiles. "Or just for a cosy afternoon," Anna adds.
If you are not organising your own party but are invited to one, you might be looking for inspiration for a wonderful gift. "Confirmation gifts are the perfect opportunity for creative gift-wrapping," Anna says.
For example, you can create your own homemade gift cards for the confirmand or nonfirmand that contain wonderful experiences. "Personalise the card by decorating it with small drawings or stickers so that the card becomes a little experience in itself," Anna advises.
If you want to buy the guest of honour a gift, it is a good idea to wrap it in an entertaining and creative way. Anna and Clara have wrapped gifts as handbags and suits before. "You will never guess what the gift is hiding," Anna laughs. "And the centre of the party gets both a lovely gift and a smile on their face," Clara says.

It is a thoughtful custom to send out thank you cards after a party - especially a confirmation or nonfirmation party. The thank you card shows that both the young person and the parents have appreciated the guests' presence and the gifts they brought. Many people choose to add a photo from the day, but this is not necessary. "The most important thing is to say thank you for a wonderful day," Clara says.
"No matter which card you choose, it is the thought that counts," Anna smiles. When it comes to sending out the thank you cards, you can choose to make them yourself or buy some adorable pre-made cards. There are countless options, so Anna and Clara recommend that you choose the option that suits you and the young person best.
Once the preparations are in place, the party can begin. "Let the confirmation or nonfirmation be a party you will never forget," Clara smiles. "A big day for someone special," Anna adds.
